Dabill claims Important British Solo Trials Victory in Edinburgh
Round 4 of the RT Keedwell British Trials Championships took place last weekend at the Bob MacGregor Trials Academy not far south of Glasgow.

The venue hosted a British Trials Championship round for the first time and there was plenty to test the countries top trials riders as they tackled 3 laps of 12 subs in the compact and challenging quarry.

James Dabill took his Supertrial form up north and was on the day able to win with plenty of daylight between him and his main title challenger Michael Brown. A clear 18 mark margin left no-one in doubt that he wants the number 1 plate back again this season and with no less than 26 clean rides over 36 testing hazards he was superb. Michael almost posted as many cleans but Section 5 proved to be his undoing and allowed Dibs to pull clear. Alexz Wigg continued his fine Championship run with another third placing ahead of Ross Danby who was looking on good form all day.

In the Championship Class it was to be four wins from four events for Guy Kendrew as he set a pace that none of his rivals could match. Kendrew rode laps 1 & 2 for single figure losses and he was very impressive with only the second and fourth subs causing him any bother and then only on his final circuit. James Stones had a good day to remain second in the standings and he has opened up a gap between himself and third placed rider Joel Edwards who was down in seventh. With Tom Affleck taking third on the day the fight behind Guy is still on.

Round 5 takes place down in Wales on the 30th August at the St David's.
