There may only be one round in the Arena Trial British Championships but it is a very special weekend for riders and spectators alike.
The weekends programme got underway with the Ladies and sidecar support competitions on Saturday with the main Championship Sunday.
The ladies B route saw a good win for Victoria Payne from Louise Alford and local Alicia Robinson with the senior riders being dominated by Emma Bristow.
Emma took the heats quite comfortably and made similar progress in the final as she beat off competition from Becky Cook, a resurgent Donna Fox and Katy Sunter. Emma remained clean in the final until the last two subs which included the notorious waterfall which stopped both her and Becky despite determined efforts.
It was hard work for the outfits making their first Supertrial appearance but the Kimbers showed how it can be done as they took the win from Tuck and Sparkes.
Sundays competition was superb and the weather was in the main ok with the odd cloudburst. James Dabill won both the heats and the final to take the Championship from Michael Brown with Jack Spencer coming through strongly for a fine third place. James had the day won virtually with two sections to go but there was a sting in the tail as both Spencer and Brown cleaned the Waterfall whilst it went wrong for Dib's his only loss in the final.
