Bristow Claims British Ladies Trials Championship
The final Ladies and Girls Trials Championship took place on Sunday morning on the rugged unforgiving rocky craggs of Fremington Edge where the Championship classes were resolved.

Reigning champion Emma Bristow won on the day and finished fifteen points ahead of Becky Cook. Isle of Man police officer Saskia Baxter headed the Ladies Inter class leaving Katy Bullock and Charly Kimber to dispute the rostrum places.

Working girl, Louise Alford is the top point’s scorer in the Class A from Bristol’s Victoria Payne and Beth Waite with North Berks talented Millie Ray experiencing a bad day at the office and scoring just ten points.

The Class B saw Hannah Moore give Class B a try but it was a bridge too far for Hannah at Fremington Edge. Megan Savage, a member of a distinguished south Yorkshire trialling family topped Class B ahead of brilliant Manx Girl Sophie-May Harding leaving Gabby Whitham, Niamh Richardson and Alicia Robinson to battle for the rostrum places.

Consett’s Olivia Pearson requires a good result to take the Girls Inter class from Fran Tattersall but the latter recorded a second class victory to take twenty points.

Class C contained only Amy Turpin and Spen Valley contender Libby Cook, she lives at St Helens, but only eleven points split the girls and there was a drop score to take into account. It didn’t happen as Amy dropped out after the first twelve sections.

The non-championship Ladies where any one of four contenders could win the day. Nice to see Berkshire girl Leah Robinson back in action in the Yorkshire Dales on Sunday and winning.

Series sponsors Luscombe Suzuki Leeds thank all organizers, competitors and above all the long suffering parents who chase their offspring round trials courses, for staging an excellent championship series.

The ACU Trials and Enduro Office will now check all results and championship points before releasing an official championship list of results.
