Holmes fit and ready to go!

British Quad Champion Paul Holmes will definitely return to the series on Sunday at Stratford after he underwent a successful riding and fitness test on his injured shoulder last night (Wednesday).

The 26-year-old Yorkshireman has missed all three rounds of this year's series after he crashed at Grittenham in March  and broke his collarbone and part of his shoulder joint, both of which required surgery.

But speaking last night he said: "I've just come in from riding and the shoulder feels OK. I didn't push it, but it feels OK. So, I'll be coming Sunday and see how I get on."

Holmes, who dominated the 2013 season, will be a welcome addition to remainder of the series as he is clearly capable of race wins once he regains his race fitness.

His rivals in a full line-up on Sunday will include championship battlers Mark McLernon and Paul Winrow as well as French guest rider and European champion, Jeremie Warnia.

Racing at the hillside Stratford track in Warwickshire (CV37 9RX) will begin around 10.30am on Sunday and will feature a full supporting programme of Nora-MX club championship classes. Full details www.nora-mx.org.uk
