The fourth and penultimate round of the G H Motorcycles/Husqvarna/Eastern Centre Enduro Championship takes place this coming Sunday 15th June at Home Farm Little Hadham Herts starting at 10am and being staged by the Sudbury Motor Cycle Club.
Nine times Champion Chris Hockey on 45 points now leads the Championship contest from current Champion Jamie Roper by three points with Jason Morland 3rd on 39 points and past Champion Ricky Roper on 35 points. The way the contest is shaping up it looks like the eventual Champion will be either Hockey, J Roper or Morland as the other contender R Roper is unable to ride as he injured his shoulder a few day ago, however he has offered to take over the Clerk of the Course duties to enable the Sponsor Gavin Hockey to compete.
In the Expert Class Lewis Bond on 51 points have a seventeen point lead over Glenn Walsh and one more point from Darren Nicolaou. Bond is an up and coming rider having won the Clubman Class last year and if he wins the Expert Contest he will move up to the Championship Class and could win it in 2015.
Four times Champion Mark Chapman now riding in the Expert Veterans Class leads the Contest on 47 points from Gene Womack 43 points and Graham Mays 37 points In the Clubman Class Dean Goggins 50 points has increased his lead over Ross Taylor 42 points while William Hughes and Ben Alexander share 3rd place on 35 points.
Mark Green 50 points leads Jason Fowler 42 points in the Clubman Veteran Class while several points adrift are 3rd Dean Curry 28 points, 4th Duncan Griffin 26 points and jointly in 5th place are David Meehan and Jeff Turner 24 points.
Andy Mason 54 points has a 19 point lead from 2nd place man Steve Finch in the Clubman Super Veteran Class with Clive Stevens and Gary Drage jointly 3rd on 28 points.
It is very close for the Team Dave Roper (TDR) contest set up by the Roper family and the Sudbury Motor Cycle Club for Club members between the age of 15-21 in Dave’s memory former Chairman with newcomer Alex Rampton on 258 points followed by Jack Nicolaou 251 points and Ben Roper on 201 points.
Presently four of the squad have scored points in the Eastern Centre Clubman Class ; Alex Rampton 9th 14 points, Ryan McDonnell joint 18th 8 points, Jack Nicolaou 22nd 6 points and Euan Miller joint 29th 1 point.
