Following a site inspection at the end of last week, ACU Events announce that due to many circumstances the seventh round of the Maxxis ACU British Championship will not be taking place at Drumclog in Scotland.
Teams, riders and fans will be aware that ACU Events set very high standards for each event and with the Promoter of the event not having fulfilled requirements set out at the end of last year – mainly with regard to Paddock parking and spectator arrangements, the decision was made to withdraw the contract.
ACU Events emphasise the fact 10th August date will still be used and a potential circuit has been identified and final details will be released shortly.
Series Manager, Brian Higgins commented, “ Whilst the landowner at Drumclog was willing for the event to take place the timescale of the lead up to the event for the required work to be completed we were not confident that the required standards would be met.
A further announcement on a replacement venue will be announced shortly.
