Cusses Gorse Confirmed as Round Seven venue!

ACU Events are pleased to confirm that the Wiltshire, Cusses Gorse venue will host the seventh round of the championship on August 10th.

When the decision was made just ten days ago that the Scottish Drumclog venue was not suitable, ACU Events staff immediately began looking for a replacement venue and organiser.  However, due to many factors - mostly connected to parking issues with farmers not being able to guarantee the harvest to have taken place, the choice of a suitable venue for the high profile nature of the championship was limited, so with Cusses Gorse all round viewing and ready to race circuit it became an obvious ideal venue with only 6 weeks to go.

The classes and event details will remain the same as scheduled; it is merely a venue and Promoter change.

Series Manager, Brian Higgins takes up the story, “It was vital that we were in a position to announce the chosen venue ahead of this week's fifth round at Whitby.  Whilst there was speculation about several possible venues and the fact that we like to keep everyone informed as much as possible, it would have been counterproductive to make an announcement until everything was in place. I have personally worked with the Barclay family in the past and I am sure we can ensure the track runs well without the need to increase the quantity or the size of the jumps.  Justin already has some ideas on a few more overtaking lines so I am really excited about this event.
