Bumper weekend of British Sidecar and British Evo action at Landrake – 29th June
The ACU Maxxis British Sidecarcross Championship makes its maiden visit to Landrake MP this coming weekend for Round 3 of the series, the event will also incorporate Round 6 of the British Evo Series.

The fast flowing circuit will provide some fast all action racing, but who will stop Stuart Brown / Josh Chamberlain aboard their Zabel WSP from the continuing domination of the series so far. The last round at Wooley Grange saw them take another maximum point’s score although they didn't have things all their own way and coupled with their recent Grand Prix win at Brou they are certainly the team to beat.

Currently second in the championship is the Frome Brothers Daniel & Joe Millard,
they are the leading 4 stoke team on their AMS KTM WHT . Each race weekend sees them getting back to their best after stopping racing mid-season due to injury last year. A third overall at the previous round supports this.

Third place in the standings & only 6 points behind the Millard Brothers are Brett Wilkinson and Steve Kirwin aboard their Zabel WHT. Brett has taken well to the 2 stroke Zabel power unit after changing power plant over the winter, and his fast starts should see him at the front of the pack pushing for another podium after claiming the second step on the podium at Wooley Grange. Next in the standings sees Richard Jenkins and Dan Chamberlain Zabel WSP, they will be hoping to close the gap on the teams ahead of them after suffering a DNF in heat 1 at Wooley Grange but finished strongly with a brace of second places. Let's hope Richard isn't suffering too much from a tumble in France.

The chasing pack sees a number of crews that are more than capable of pushing for a podium Finish. Simon Bradford / Luke Peters currently lead the Clubman's championship, Jack Etheridge / Scott Grahame have gone well at Landrake in previous events & Nick Jarvis / Ryan Humphrey will be looking for 3 consistent rides to see them climb the points table.

3 crews will be making the long trip from Ireland to participate after having raced the previous day in the Ulster Championships.  Leading the way will be Neil Campbell and Ross Graham. Also making the trip will be Gary Moulds / Shane Taylor and Emma Moulds and Niki Adair.

The solo action will come from round 6 of the ACU British Evo Series. The last round at Marshfield was a 2 day Spectacular. The racing was red hot in all classes over the 2 days and John May completed all Evo class races on his way to raising over £2000 for the Friends of Huck Charity.

Phil Lewis will be looking to extend his lead in the 125 class, he won't have to contend with Tom Church on his own patch this time, but will have Neil Carroll & Tom Brown chasing him. Carroll currently lies in second, 18 Points behind Lewis with Brown a further 40 behind.

In the 250 class Gavin Robertson leads the way and takes a lead of 46 points into this round. Hoping to close the gap will be Ben Haggerty-Marks who currently lies second in class with Ashley Hudson in third.

The big bore 500cc class sees Phil Mercer take a commanding lead of 90 points into this round, the long straights will suit these super-fast machines. Jack Grimble will be hoping to close the gap on Mercer whilst holding Fred Heath in third.

The action on track gets underway at 9 am with Sidecar Practice & Qualification with the first race of the day at 11am. You will find the event Signposted off the A38 & is located 5 miles West of the Tamar Bridge.  (Track postcode is PL12 5EP. )
