Battle of the British Youth Nationals continues this weekend at Culham Moto Parc

The 2014 British Youth Nationals head to Oxfordshire this weekend for round 2 of more bar banging best of British youth motocross action.

Culham Moto Parc hosts the second of a 5 round British championship series, the circuit is hard pack and set on the banks of the River Thames which makes Culham one of the most scenic tracks in the UK.

Round 1 produced scintillating racing in all classes on the tough sand circuit of Fat Cat Moto Parc, riders who favour the more compact and hard surface tracks will now breath a sigh of relief as the warmer weather starts to take hold here in the UK.

In the 65 class current points leader Joe Rizzi will need to be on top form to fight off the challenge from rivals Eddie Wade, Jack Grayshon and Louie Kessell. Expect fireworks from the youngest riders who race the BYN championship.

Jordan Eccles dominated round 1 with 7 straight wins in the British 125 championship class, but we expect Milton Parc will throw up a few surprises from an impressive line up of two stroke talent.

The battle of the BW85 class will continue right the way through the 2014 season as like many classes in the BYN we have so many riders who can win on any day. Alexander Brown currently leads from Dexter Douglas and Brett Pocock and if you add Keenan Hird, Marcus Phelps and Jed Etchells its almost impossible to pick a winner.

Gareth Hockey of RHL Activities:
“After the success of round 1, the talent we have racing in the British Youth Nationals in 2014 is second to none. The team here are itching to get to Culham to continue where we left off at Fat Cat. Round 1 certainly proved we have moved forward from 2013 and the positive feedback from all involved proves we are are on the right track to keep producing an event which is value for money and exciting for riders to be involved with.”

The Youth Open class is set to be one to watch at Culham, Jay Lamb and Ollie Osmaston are set to continue their fierce on track rivalry, Jay currently leads by 30 points and recently said that he is looking forward to round 2. We really can’t wait for this one.

Can Rossi Beard keep hold of his SW85 red plate from round 1? Lewis Hall, Kacey Hird and Ben Clark may have other ideas in yet another class to close to call.

Round 1 of the British under 23 championship saw Mickey Eccles and Rob Davison share race wins with Mickey edging out Rob by only 3 points. Jordan Divall and Brad Todd will be looking to ruin their party and challenge for the overall.
