Hosted by Vale of Towy Motorcycle Club at Glanawmor Isaf Farm, Pencader.

The fourth event in the Auto Cycle Union British Class C and D Youth Championship at Pencader on Sunday promises to be another cliff hanger trial in all four classes.

In Class C standard and medium wheels Newton Abbot’s Billy Green, Horsham’s Jack Dance and Fife boy James Galloway are on a maximum sixty points. Will the Glyn Jones trials course test these tough determined youngsters? Assistant Clerk of Course Davie Bushin has worked hard with Glyn Jones to ensure a welcome in the Welsh Valley at Glanamawer Isaf Farm. The entry numbers are up slightly with nine Class C Standard Wheels, ten Medium, Wheels.

Class D Medium Wheels persist with just three starters. Class D Small Wheels, the youngest riders, numbers thirteen. And the youngsters threatening?  Mitchell Brightmore, Henry Stephenson, Harry Turner, Dominic Horne and Myles Hutchinson.

Just two Welsh boys are entered. Abergoed’s Cynan Jones who has scored points in previous events and is a member of the Dulais Valley Motor Cycle Club. Porthmadog newcomer Tomos Williams who rides a 50cc Gas gad Cadet and is a member of the rocader Motor Cycle  Club. The trials course will be three laps of twelve sections. Starting time is 10.31 am and the at one minute intervals..    

The Vale of Towy club have received local sponsorship from Jones Brothers Ltd, Henilan. The building and civil engineering company have underwritten programme printing costs. The sections are sponsored. AB Motorcycles of Merthyr Tydfil and Tydfill and Excel Precision Engineering. Pencader Bakery are also planning a little treat for the competitors. Gas Gas UK and Oset UK have supplied sections marking tapes.
