Tuck and Sparkes claim victory at the Tuck Cross Sidecar Trial

BSSA (Wessex) ACU Luscombe Saab Leeds Tuck Cross British Sidecar Trials Championship, Frys Bottom, Chelwood, Bristol, 11-05-2014 Report

Bristol sidecar trials experts Jon Tuck and Matt Sparkes repeated their treble victory run in Cornwall, Devon and Derbyshire by winning the Tuck Cross Trial on Sunday at Chelwood. They have scored maximum points in four events to date.

Rochester son and father Rupert and Chris Kimber retired at section twenty eight so have dropped to sixth in the standings.

Guildford's Daryl Dale and girlfriend Hannah Etherington really got cracking with a splendid result that has elevated them to second place leapfrogging Kieran Hankin and Andy Cripps in the championship tables. Clubman champions Nigel Scott and Jamie Howe lurk two championship points behind.

Rochester's first round winners Robbie Head and Aaron Jacobs led the Inter class where only Karl Jarvis and Bob Chapman posed a threat. Head and Jacobs are on a roll scoring seventy championship points. The clubman class was a drama. Out went Andy Cheeseman, Ian Hannah with mechanical problems and Mick Treagus through an accident. Alistair Allan and Nick George won the class from Paul Fishlock and Debbie Allan.

Matlock's plant operator Thomas McDowell and passenger Jon Stanley added another seventeen points to their score line but the twenty points was awarded to winners, and newcomers Adam Allaway and Jake Pope. McDowell and Stanley have a secure seventy four championship points.

The next events in the Luscombe Saab Leeds A.C.U. Championship will be organised by the South Birmingham Motor Club. The Harry Perrey Trial takes place on July 12 followed by the D.K. Mansell Trial on July 13.
