GREAT NEW TRACK FOR ROUND 4

Major work to improve the Brake Hill Farm track in Northamptonshire in readiness for the fourth round of the NORA MX championship on May 11 is under way.

More than 100 trees have so far been cut back or removed to 'open up' the former AMCA track near Kettering (NN14 3NB) and the course has also been extended into virgin areas of the 70 acre site that it stands on.

A water bowser has been purchased for the venue and there are longer term plans to build a special dedicated spectator area in the middle.

"We have a multi-year lease on the the track so it's a long term project, but its already good fun to ride, with at least three good hills to tackle," said NORA chairman Chris Murphy.

All the usual adult and youth NORA classes are catered for on May 11, including Evo and Fun Cup rounds, ACU Masters and 250 Youth British Championships, Clubman and Experts. The first three rounds of the championship have averaged over 150 entries and some classes have been full.
