South Shropshire MCC host the ACU Luscombe Suzuki Leeds Ladies and Girls Championship second round

Louth international Emma Bristow won the first round of the ACU Ladies and Girls trial championship event at sunny Aston Tirrold, Berkshire ahead of Isle of Wight former champion Becky Cook and Matlock plumbing engineer Joanne Coles.

On Sunday at Gaerstone Farm, Hope Bowdler, Church Stretton World Ladies Enduro champion and British champion Bristow heads a top class entry of ladies and girl in the South Shropshire Motor Cycle Club second championship event of the series.

Organisers Leueen and Gordon Lawley will stage the event at a new venue for the first time to ring some changes to what is a well established event. Six adults contest the Ladies class. No Joanne Coles on the entry list when this release was prepared. Whitby’s Nikita Smith will pose a threat. The teenager was due to perform a free fall solo parachute fall in aid of cystic fibrosis recently. Scotland presents Bronwyn Palmer while Chloe Richardson and Jess Bown will battle for points.

The Girls Class A is a quartet of young ladies, all determined. Louise Alford travels from Navenby to compete again Bristol blonde haired Victoria Payne and out of age class challenger Beth Waite who will have Woking’s Millie Ray aiming for another podium. Green eyed Beth will really work hard.

Girls Class B is a hotbed of talent. Barnsley’s Megan Savage won North Berks from SXS Jota Gas mounted Gabby Whitham. The Silsden girl was making her debut under Steve Saunders banner. Determined auburn haired Alice Minta will be on home ground and up against Port Erin girl Sophi-May Hardy, Niamh Richardson and Alicia Robinson so expect fireworks in the class.

For some obscure reason only Ashington’s Amy Turpin and Bisley’s Hannah Moore contest Girls Class C. Amy has a string of class victories in her native North East Centre. Isle of Man police officer Saskia Baxter will take no prisoners in the Ladies Inter. She stormed Richmond last year and likewise North Berks in February. Charlotte Kimber, Robyn Alderson and reigning Inter champion Caz Alford, if she is fit after her ligament operation, will test Miss Baxter.

The fun commences at 10.30 am.
