The Camborne and Redruth Motor Club held a Trials Training day on Saturday 22nd February. Chief Instructor was British Championship contender Joe Baker, assisted by Tim Martyn, dad of National Youth B contender Toby, local organiser and Club
Chairman Howard Stevens. Also assisting the Instructor was Jason Lawer and Toby Martyn.
The weather was unusually dry and sunny after many months of torrential rain and the venue at Gilberts Coombe, Redruth was very, very muddy.
The day was organised to cater for young Oset riders between 10 am – 12pm then adults and youths for the remainder of the day but everyone was very keen and all turned up early and the young Oset riders kept going all day until their batteries eventually expired.
Joe Baker was excellent with young and older riders alike and parents/observers with the young riders noticed a remarkable improvement in just 2 hours intensive instruction with Joe. It was regarded an almost an almost perfect day and the Club will repeat this again very soon.
