NORA-MX CHAMPS START EARLY
The 2014 NORA-MX championship will officially begin on March 16, two weeks earlier than originally planned. NORA-MX had a non-championnship event penciled in on that date anyway, but has now confirmed that its meeting at Mepal in Cambridgeshire (CB6 2AY) will now carry points.

Mepal is an all-weather sand track previously used for a British championship round in 2012 that will stand up to bad weather better than other tracks which have been hit by the wettest winter in 100 years.

"As it stands all the tracks we plan to use in the early rounds should be okay," said club chairman Chris Murphy. "But with the water table now so high across the Midlands and below, we decided to crack on and get in an 'insurance' round at Mepal in case the bad weather continues and we are forced to cancel rounds at less durable tracks."

The new round takes the NORA-MX championship up to 11 rounds, with the ten best scores counting towards the final championship position.

Membership in some classes is almost full and riders are urged to enter as early as possible to guarantee a ride.

With some classes expected to be over subscribed the club will be accepting first and second reserves when classes are full. Reserves who do not get to compete in all three races on the day will get a percentage of their entry fee refunded.

On-line entry for the Mepal is open at www.nora-mx.org.co.uk
