The ACU Luscombe Saab Leeds British Sidecar Trials Championship fires up with the traditional West Country double header this weekend at Bovey Tracy and St Austell.
The West of England club start the ball rolling at the Riverside Inn where twenty contenders battle in the opening round. Six crews hit the championship trail headed by former champions Jon Tuck and Matt Sparkes but determined Rupert and Chris Kimber will challenge them throughout the weekend. Clubman champion Nigel Scott will be riding with Jamie Howe in the hot seat.They ran through a tough practice session last Sunday at muddy Parkwood Offroad Leisure Centre at Tong.
On Sunday the action is at Garker Woods, Trethurgy, where the Camborne and Redruth club take over the mantle for Round 2 in the series. The entry list is a carbon copy of the previous day. Unfortunately multi British championship Robin Luscombe will not make the trip to Devon and Cornwall on this occasion.
The start time for each event is 10.00am and 9.00am respectively.
