2014 ACU EDMONDSON RACING BRITISH ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP SPRINGS INTO ACTION
The 2014 ACU Edmondson Racing British Enduro Championship begins this coming weekend, March 8-9th, at Tetbury and is set in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.

Edmondson Racing has taken title sponsorship for the series and along with a handful of new series sponsors, organised by Derrick Edmondson.

The Championship series is looking to raise the profile and awareness of the BEC and Enduro in general from both within the sport and to the general public. With new signage, new number boards and fresh enthusiasm from all concerned, this year’s BEC will be a cracker.

Defending Champion Tom Sagar wears the red #1 plate on his Colwyn Bay KTM 450 but he will have to work hard to retain it as a host of talented riders have expanded the Championship class to 25, many riding the new Husqvarnas, Betas and Shercos

The opening event of the season is organised by The Midwest MCC Ltd. Simon Molter and his team have put in many hours of hard work to ensure that this competition start with a bang. This high profile series starter has already received terrific support with a full entry of 170 riders with around 50% of the entrants new to the BEC.

The route will consist of a number of laps of approximately 20 miles of mainly off-road farm tracks, open fields, forestry tracks, with some forestry roads, the route will NOT run along public highway, although there will be one crossing place where riders will be asked to dismount and push across the road.

Two special tests will be used on both days. Both tests are a mixture of forestry & grassland. The special tests will be open for riders to walk from 10am on Friday morning.

The start area and fuelling is located at The Airfield area near Chavenage Farm, support crews and spectators are permitted to both tests on foot as they are within walking distance of the paddock.

Weather reports for the coming weekend are excellent, dry and bright over both days so all that is left to do is wish everyone the best of luck throughout the coming season.

Both the Signing on/Start area will be at Airfield near Chavenage Farm, Nr Tetbury, Glos GL8 8XU. It will be signposted off the A46 Bath to Stroud road.
