Old Bike Mart and Thundersprint 2014 Announce Media Partnership
Old Bike Mart, the newspaper recognised as one of the leading classic motorcycle publications in Britain, will act as a media partner for this year’s Thundersprint – to be held over the weekend of May 10/11 at the beautiful Darley Moor Circuit in Derbyshire.

On confirming the news, Mortons’ publishing director Dan Savage said: “We’re delighted to become media partner for the Thundersprint and we look forward to continuing a long established relationship with the event in this official capacity.

“Written by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts and those who want to become enthusiasts, Old Bike Mart reaches out to every sector within the realm of classics, from the dawn of motorcycling time through to the early 1980s when it was still possible to buy a new Meriden Triumph.

“It’s a practical paper, where hands on and doing it yourself is an important part of the old motorcycle experience and given the huge number and range of riders taking part in the Thundersprint – as well as their propensity towards working on and riding their classics – we see this as a perfect fit.

Thundersprint organiser, Frank Melling said: “This marriage has been a long time coming but, like all long courtships, the final outcome was inevitable!

“We first metaphorically held hands with Old Bike Mart at Brands Hatch way back in 1997.

“17 years later, we’re still best friends with the paper and it’s for all the reasons Dan has identified.

“Old Bike Mart readers are 100% our customers, so we’re really pleased to have Old Bike Mart as our media partner and we look forward to welcoming every single one of their 35,000 readers to Darley Moor in May.”
