British Youth Nationals kicks off at Fat Cat Moto Parc on April 12 with two female participants

Danielle Marsh will race in the British open class alongside some of the fastest youth riders in the UK. Danielle was the 2010 Girls British BW champion and has spent the last two years riding for Buildbase Honda and raced in the 2012 Womens world championship. Danielle is looking at a solid season racing in the BYN and hopefully will return to GP racing in 2015. The Stevens of Devizes sponsored rider is also supported by Apico, Moto-Pro Suspension and Answer.

Our second female rider is talented Ciara Robertson who will race in the super competitive SW85 class. Ciara is from Scotland and has been racing since the auto class and has won every class at the Girls Nationals from auto to SW85’s. She has also won several Scottish club championships and is backed by Carnegie Fuels Ltd.

“My ambition is to race in the womens world championship when I’m old enough, the BYN is the best stepping stone for me to do that, I can’t wait for the championship to start and I’m already looking forward to my own round in Scotland later in the year.”

Gareth Hockey of RHL Activities “ It’s so good to see female riders not only entering the sport but returning for a 2nd year in a row. We are looking to increase the profile of female riders and hopefully as the Championship grows and grows, so will the numbers of female riders to the point where in the future we will be looking to run a separate female class”

Places are still available in the following classes ACU Open Youth, ACU British Youth 125 Class and the British Under 23 championship, to book in and register please call P
