Following the growing success of the ACU BYMX Team Event in recent years the ACU Motocross Department have been working hard to secure a suitable venue for the 2014 event on the 11th and 12th October.
The ACU are delighted to have secured the use of the Blaxhall Circuit near Woodbridge in Suffolk. Blaxhall is a circuit that doesn’t regularly run Youth events, therefore giving each team an equal chance for success at the end of the event.
The sandy circuit at Blaxhall features a flowing layout which uses its natural changes in elevation to create an exciting race circuit for both riders and spectators. Blaxhall has played host to a number of British Championship events in the early 90's and more recently the British Open and Under 23 Championships.
Following the bad weather that was seen at Foxhill this year, Blaxhall was selected due to its ability to be altered and changed to ensure that the event can go head and be completed no matter what the British weather throws at the event.
Having visited the venue recently, Brian Higgins said “I believe that a number of teams and riders will be pleased with the selection of Blaxhall as the venue for the 2014 BYMX Team Event. The Blaxhall circuit is a well presented venue that is sure to produce some great racing in all classes. It is also very unique that we are able to take this event to a venue that is not regularly used for Youth Motocross, giving all riders an equal playing field. We feel that this is an important factor to help make the BYMX Team Event a special event for all that take part”
