Buildbase Honda team boss and 4 x World motocross champion Dave Thorpe will host a training day on Friday October 11 with hints and tips on how to ride the most famous beach race in the world.
Dave who won the event back in 1988 will pass on his expertise and knowledge on how to tackle such a demanding circuit. The deep sand, wind, and spray from the bikes and the sea make Weston Beach Race unique to any other race in the world.
The session will comprise of 3 hours training, starting at around 10am, in our prestigious VIP Marquee. Dave will discuss the track, hints and tips on how to ride ‘Weston’ then a walk of the circuit, finishing with some on bike training.

All participants need to bring their own bike and kit, the cost is £35 a head.
Multi-time quad winner Paul Winrow will also be running the same sessions for quad riders at the same cost as above.
“Friday October 11 is looking like an exceptional day at Weston Beach Race, riders will gain valuable knowledge of the circuit from two legends of our sport, both Dave and Paul have been there and seen it all, tips from these guys will help all level of participants,” says Gareth Hockey from RHL Activities. “ We also have the “Walking with the Wounded” sponsored walk, the walk will take place on Friday and it will consist of a lap of the famous beach circuit with all proceeds going to WWTW.”
