DERBY PHOENIX MCC HEAD TO CADWELL PARK ON OCT 5th AND 6th

Friday September 27, 2013 at 11:06am
Lee Wilson heads into the final round of the Derby Phoenix club’s championship at Cadwell Park on October 5 and 6 chasing three titles.

The 31-year-old from near Barnsley leads both the ACU Clubmans championship and the club’s 751-1300 Four-stroke series, but he is only 10 points clear of his closest rival, Jamie Harrison and with four races at the Lincolnshire circuit and a possible 100 points to be won it is too to start celebrating.

Wilson could make a hat trick over the weekend as he is also second in the Derby Phoenix club’s 700-1300cc Allcomers’ championship, trailing Harrison by 22 points. There are two races at Cadwell, with a maximum 50 points to be won there.

Stuart Martin leads Lee Wells by just one point in the Formula 600 class going into the last four races.

The second, combined Allcomers race on the Sunday will be a tribute to the late Steve Hix. The number 11 will be on Liam Marchant’s machine.

Practice starts at 9.0am on the Saturday underway at the end of those sessions. Racing on Sunday starts at 9.0am.

Adult admission is £13 on both days, with accompanied children under 13 free.
