HAWKINS OUT TO INCREASE CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD

This Sunday after the summer break the Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross Championship resumes with round 8 in the 10 round series at what has been a change of venue as it will now take place at A and A Moto Parc, Smeatharpe, Nr Honiton.

In the Expert Open class it there is just 3 points separating the Phoenix Tools Honda of Luke Hawkins and the Oakleaf Kawasaki of Welshman Shane Carless, but with Carless away on other duties Hawkins will be looking to extend his lead even further, but it wont be plain sailing as there is no shortage of quick riders in attendance including John May, last years Champion Jamie Skuse, Luke Hill, Loukas Maggio, Tom Moore, James Dodd, Wayne Shimell, Michael Rowe, Lewis Gregory plus many more.

In the Junior Championship its Welsh whiz kid Jay Thomas who leads over Lewis Barfoot who has being creeping up through in the standings, but not too far behind Barfoot is the likes of Anthony Milliar, Jonathan Cole and Christian Dicks, but lining up with them will be the likes of Ty Kellett, Toby Harvey, Gary Norman, Josh Taylor and Ryan Williams to name a few.

The Over 35 class sees Mark Wilde heading the standings from Gavin Flagg with last years Champion Jason Fraser or Mr consistant there in 3rd gradually closing in, but with a new track to many riders things could be really close at the end of the day as it could be also in the Over 40’s and Over 50’s.

A and A Moto Parc has easy access with hard standing for parking (Postcode EX14 9RF) There are still places available for more info contact Mel on 01626 365335
