So the challenge begins!!!
The Cornwall Mid Premier MCC host the Masters Challenge to be held on the clubs unique boarded circuit at Roche, Cornwall on 21st July.  With a star studded field in both solo and sidecar classes, this is traditionally the most hotly contested meeting of the year with the prize being a place in the Masters Final for the top 12 solo competitors and top 10 sidecar competitors.

Set in the backdrop of the rugged Cornwall coast the event is always one of the most intense meetings of the season with every race seeming like a championship final.

The Challenge is run over points with the top 12 Solo and top 10 sidecar competitors taking the honours to meet the cream of British Grass Trackers at Wimborne in September.

The Solo line up includes ACU’s World Long Track contender Richard Hall, along with those who earned points on the 2012 Grading list, not forgetting Cornwall’s own Ben Barker. Cory Gathercole who’s been riding on an ACU licence for 2 years has also qualified via the grading list will be hoping to emulate Cameron Woodward’s Masters win in last year’s Masters Final, and not forgetting fellow Australian Rodney McDonald.

On to the Sidecars…

Cornish brothers Dave & James Goudge will be hoping to regain their title of British Masters Challenge Champions but former Masters Champions Colin Blackbourn and Carl Pugh will have other ideas. Challengers from Kent will be out in force with Myles Simmons, Robbie Wilson will taking on local sidecar teams as well as John Hiscock from Ringwood and Rugby rider Peter Lloyd.
