ACU MAKE HARSH DECISION TO CANCEL QUAD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND

It is with much regret that the ACU Motocross Committee has been forced to cancel the British Quad Cross Championships scheduled to take place on August 4th due to a very low number of entries. The decision was made on Monday of this week after a lot of consideration and a request for Youth Quad riders to register their interest in the event after the closing date for Adult riders had not reached double figures. The event will not be re-scheduled.

ACU Motocross Chairman, Brian Higgins explains, "After the success of the 2012 event we are obviously disappointed but we felt it was better to cancel with three weeks remaining as travel plans have to be made. We realise that deep sand may not be the ideal base for Quad racing, but after the success of last year’s event it was felt that the excellent facility at Fat Cat, within easy distance of most people would have attracted a reasonable entry.

The preceding Adult Quad round at Grittenham this weekend will go ahead as normal.
