OSET TT SUCCESS

OSET Bikes’ first visit to the Isle of Man TT proved to be an overwhelming success.  The team provided free rides for the public and showcased the bikes’ capabilities via the OSET display team that included children from 4 – 12 years old.

Over the course of five days, hundreds of children enjoyed their first ever ride on a motorbike – demonstrating that OSET Bikes are the safest introduction to motorised two-wheeled fun.

A dozen OSET Dynamos took centre stage with the infamous Purple Helmets and the Army Signalmen Display team, the White Helmets to provide the warm-up entertainment in front of a 3,000 strong crowd at Onchen Stadium, following the Superbike race.

OSET’s café racer concept bike was on display throughout the event and proved to be a real draw for the crowd.  When ridden, it couldn’t go further than 10ft without someone stopping to ask for a picture!

Ex-World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson dropped by with his son for some fun round the inflatable OSET track.

The team were delighted too, to welcome Steve Plater, Jamie Whitham and the ITV4 film crew for some serious ‘action’ round the OSET circuit.  Presenters and ex-racers, Plater and Whitham went head to head on OSET 20s to put to bed some old rivalries; however local lad Bradley Calvert had to step in to red-flag the event due to ungentlemanyl conduct.  It seems the rivalry may well continue – watch this space!

Ian Smith, CEO of OSET Bikes, said: “We were honoured to have been invited to attend such a world-renowned event by the Isle of Man government and have made some great friends over there.   We enjoyed a really warm welcome and received some fantastic support from local families, who helped make the event such a success for us.

We’re already planning next year which will see us go from strength to strength.  OSET Bikes, we believe, is the safest introduction to two wheeled motorsport for children.  Speed monitored, no hot parts, quiet and designed for off-road, they can be ridden in the back garden as well as competitively at trials events.”

With TT Zero showcasing the future by performing beyond expectation, off road, OSET electric bikes are already outperforming their petrol counterparts.  The manufacturer claimed the top five places in the first round of the D-Class Youth National.  Fast becoming the bike of choice for youngsters OSET Bikes will make up over 70% of the D-class entry at the second round this weekend.

Attendance and participation at such a high profile event as the TT highlights how OSET Bikes continues to demonstrate their appeal across all forms of motorcycling.
