Dave Thorpe Evo Series heads to Waggadon Farm on June 23rd

The Dave Thorpe EVO Series rolls on down to Sunny Devon this month for Round 4 of the series on Sunday June 23rd at Waggadon Farm, Torrington. The former British Championship track as had a revamp for this event, using some fresh ground and also using a new location for the start which has been moved to the top of the field as it was a couple of times several years ago.

The series has proven to be more popular than ever with each round to date having a great line up of riders from Clubman up to British Championship calibre riders.

This event will cater for all the normal DT Championship groups with the addition of Modern Junior and Expert classes and also a Twinshock open group.

The event will also have an EVO Super Final Sponsored by DQMX of Bideford in which the top 8 overall from each championship will go into a final shoot out race. This race won’t qualify for championship points.

This event is also proud to be supporting and incorporating the charity chloesnewlegs.org.uk. Stuart Jago, a DT 125cc championship registered rider has a step daughter called chloe, and they are trying to raise money in order to buy Chloe some new legs. Please take a look at the website as it’s a truly heart warming story to which the club are honoured to be helping with.

To raise money, an auction will be taking place on the Saturday evening in the Marquee which will have a Bar and then a raffle will be done on the Sunday. All proceeds will go towards the charity. All are welcome to come along.

The closing date for DT Championship riders will be the 10th June, after this date non-registered riders will be allowed to enter, however only registered riders can score points on the day. There are still entries available for the support groups.

Spectator admission is only £5 with children under 16 getting in for free, so come along and witness some great racing. The circuit has excellent viewing with 90% of the track visible from one point. Camping is free from the Friday to Sunday.

Entry forms are available to download from either www.torridge-districtmcc.co.uk or www.dtevoseries.co.uk
