ACU GBXC British Sprint Championship Heads to H20 this Weekend
This coming weekend’s ACU GBXC British Sprint Championship at H2O near Selattyn is virtually full. A flood of Championship class riders are heading to the venue to sharpen their skills over two special tests and with all other classes looking really good the long weekend is shaping up to be a cracker. With the venue open for practice on Monday there will be plenty of opportunity to get some great bike time.

David Knight, Tom Sagar, Daryl Bolter, Steve Holcombe Danny McCanney and Brad Freeman are just a few of the big names heading to the outskirts of Oswestry this weekend. Holcombe and freeman shared the honours at rounds 1 & 2 in Dorset but with Knighter raring to go after his Extreme Ravines win last weekend the two youngsters will have to work hard for the win.

The course has undergone extensive grading and preparation in the lead up to the event. The hard-packed MX track has received special attention and will be in pristine condition for the event as the MX special test.

The hidden valleys and tight woodland will be used as the Enduro special test and it will be tough but Paul Edmondson has planned hard and easy routes for those not of Championship class standard. All riders will have transponder timing for both days of competition.

Racing starts on Saturday at 10.30am and on Sunday ay 9.30am.

The postcode for the venue is SY10 7PA. Camping is available from Friday through to Monday and a few race entries are still available. There is no charge for spectators. Call 01543 370070 or Christine on 07889 924560.
