Lambert takes Runner Up spot at Opening Speedway Under 21 Final
Saturday night saw the opening round of the FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship Final take place at King’s Lynn. With six British riders entered to compete, they were all looking to perform well at their home round.

The meeting produced plenty of excitement and close racing as the youngsters battled all night long, with a number of riders falling foul of their own youthful enthusiasm.

The star of the meeting was to be Krystian Pieszczek who took the victory in the final ahead of British talent Robert Lambert in second place. Lambert chased Pieszczek hard in the final but was unable to catch the Polish rider and now sits one point behind with two rounds remaining. The leader pair also have a healthy six point lead over Jack Holder in third place. Fellow Brit and British Under 21 Champion Josh currently sits a further point behind in fourth place.

Final 2 will take place at Pardubice in the Czech Republic on 16th September and the last round in Gdansk on October 2nd.
