The ACU Track Racing Department has recently had donated a brand new trophy for the ACU British Upright Championship by the Hayes & Southall Club from the South Midlands Centre.
The Hayes and Southall Club were a highly successful club within the South Midlands Centre, hosting the John Underwood Memorial Meeting every year from 2001 until 2010, raising nearly £20,000 for the Headway Trust in Northampton.
The new Championship Trophy was donated by the club on behalf of the late Mrs V Rogers, after she had bequeathed some funds to the Club in her will. With the club currently not running any events it was decided to contact the ACU and donate a Trophy to the Upright Championship, which is being run for the first time this year.
The ACU Track Racing Department would like to thank the Hayes and Southall Club and the Late Mrs V Rogers for this kind offer. The first running on the new ACU British Upright Championship will be taking place on the 29th July, hosted by the Ledbury MC + LCC
