Team GB announced for the Motocross of Nations at Lommel
The ACU Motocross Department are delighted to announce the team for this year’s Motocross of Nations, which is being held at Lommel on the 29th and 30th September. During a Press Conference held on Saturday evening at the British Grand Prix at Matterley Basin, new Team Manager Neil Prince introduced the 2012 squad of Tommy Searle, Jake Nicholls and Max Anstie. With a strong group of riders to select from, Prince had some tough decisions to make.

The team line up will see Tommy Searle race in the MX1 class after proving himself at last year’s event. Tommy is a world class rider with a large amount of experience of racing in major events and will be the most experienced member of the team.

In the MX2 class Jake Nicholls will be making his second experience for Team GB, this time Jake will be competing on his regular World Championship machine. This season Jake has regularly producing top 5 results in the MX2 class and currently sits 5th in the Championship.

The final member of the Team GB squad will be Max Anstie in the MX3 class. Max will be making his debut for Team GB at the event and will be using a 2011 Factory 450 Honda supplied by the Honda World Motocross Team for the event. Max is regarded as a very strong sand rider and currently sits in 7th place in the World MX2 Championship.

The Team GB Squad will be hoping to make the podium at this year’s event after just missing out in recent seasons, and with such a strong and young line up, the team must have a strong chance.
