It is with great regret that following discussions between the ACU Track Racing Committee and the Pickering and District Motor Club that the Pre 75 British Grass Track Championship has been cancelled. The decision was due to the very small number of riders entered for the event, it would not be possible for the club to host a true British Championship on the 9th September at the standard they would wish to.
Due to a combination of alternative events on the same date running this class, and the current high cost of travel, it is most unlikely that additional competitors would enter the event at this late stage.
The Club felt that the most appropriate course of action would be to cancel the event and release those competitors who had entered to enable them to support the other events being organised on that date.
Pickering and District Motor Club are still enthusiastic supporters of the Pre 75 Class, and will support the ACU in seeking an alternative organiser for this Championship Event.
