Round 6 of Maxxis Sidecarcross Championship Heads to Wakes Colne

This weekend the Halstead & DMCC will be hosting round six of the 2012 Maxxis British sidecarcross championships at Little Loveney Hall, Wakes Colne This will be the 24th time this track has been used for the sidecar championship and in the past there have been some memorable races here. With not far short of thirty of the country’s top riders entered there is no reason why this year should be any different.

As round 5 at Ringmer was cancelled because of the weather it is now nine weeks since the last round which has given Jack Etheridge and Seemond Stephens time to recover from the injuries they sustained at Frome back in June. They both rode at a recent practice session and are raring to go again.

Current leaders of the series, Stuart Brown / Josh Chamberlain, will be looking to extend their lead of 42 points over second placed Richard Jenkins / Dan Chamberlain. A further 21 points behind is Wilkinson / Parmenter who in turn are just three points in front of the overall winners at the last round, Daniel & Joe Millard. Also hoping to close on the leaders are Steve and Stewart France who had an excellent meeting last time out.

In addition to the three sidecar races there will be races for NGR Championship Solo riders split into over 30’s and over 40’s classes and two groups of Solo Allcomers. The fastest Solo qualifiers will also compete in the Richard Fitch Trophy race.

The post code for the track is CO6 2BH, practise starts at 10am.
