Luscombe Suzuki Leeds ACU British Youth Trials Championship heads to the North East Centre
The action will be intense in Northumberland this coming weekend when the North East Centre ACU stage the weekend double header Luscombe Suzuki Leeds A.C.U. British Youth Trials Championship. The all-classes weekend fixture takes place at the spectacular Hope Farm venue where the prizes up for grabs include the Arthur Smith Trophies on both days.

On Saturday the Youth C and D classes will have almost two miles of pasture and moorland to roam over a three lap distance and the menu is just the same on Sunday for Classes A and B. Start time will be 10.00 am on both days. Saturday contenders have five and half hours to complete the course while the Class A & B riders on Sunday have six hours. On a good night camping on site is available until Sunday evening.

The Clerk of Course will be the legendary Fred Nicholson planting flags or telling his son Paul where to stick the in the ground. The Centre have again Newcastle major car parts and accessory factors
A.V. Taylor Limited on board as sponsors of the trial for the fifth consecutive year.

As far as class leaders the boys in lights are Jack Price, Dan Peace, Jack Peace, Bill Green, Edward Earle and James Marshland. Only Earle is off the hook as far as challengers. Price has Luke Walker and Dec Bullock on his trail with Welsh youth champion Iwan Roberts aiming to celebrate his sixteenth birthday on Saturday with a victory on Sunday. Dan Peace will have to concentrate as Shropshire’s Tom Minta is dead on form in the Youth B class.

Toby Martyn makes the very long haul from Cornwall to take on Jack Peace for Class C standard but Bradford’s hot boy Kieran Child has been slaying the giants in his own parish for weeks. Bill Green also makes the long trip from Devon and should make it five in a row. James Mashland and Jamie Williams are neck and neck in Class D so that class is wide open.
