Big Bike Adventure Rally 15th / 16th September 2012

The Big Bike Adventure Rally is open to trail and adventure bikes over 400cc. The event has been designed to be a novice / first time rally event for adventure bikes. The rally will take place over two days and cover approximately 500 miles of road and off-road terrain. The course will be completely rideable on dual sport tyres on all types and models of Adventure bike.

The Start

The start venue is the famous "Three Counties Showground" near Malvern and the course will take in areas of Wales and southern England. There is free camping for competitors at the start / Bivouac area with food and showers also available.

To enter the Adventure Rally, please complete the form below:-

The Route

The course is a combination of check points for the road liaison and set off road (soft road) routes. On the off road stages there will be "special sections" which are optional and these can be missed out if the rider wishes to, however the special stages will determine the winner of the event.
Day 1 takes us over to Wales via check points and then onto two off road sections that are private tracks and not normally rideable. There will be a timed section to determine the results.
Day 2 takes us via check points agian down to Salisbury Plain and again onto trails and tracks suitable for adventure bikes.

The Competition

The winners of hte event will be determined by "skiils tests" on the off road sections where points will be added to a score card. Each rider will carry their own score card for route marking and results. The timed section will also add points to your score. The winner will be the competitor with the least points over the two days.
If do not wish to compete there is an option to miss the skills tests and just take a maximum score.

We have designed the course to be rideable on dual sport tyres and for the entire course to be rideable on a big adventure bike , such as a 1200GS, 990/950 KTM, Triumph XC800, Yamaha Tenere 1200/660, Kawasaki Verso and a Suzuki V-Strom.
