EXCITEMENT MOUNTS FOR ROUND 1 OF OSET CUP NORTH
This Saturday (18 April), sees the first round of the four round OSET Cup north series at Deepcliffe Farm, Bradford.

The event will run four routes, a white beginners route will be aimed at absolute novice beginners and will be ideal for those who want to come and give trials riding a go.

Stepping up a level to the yellow route will provide more confident and experienced riders an opportunity to compete against each other.  The ‘inter’ route is designed for children who can ride with their feet on the pegs and are ready for a bit of a challenge as their skill set begins to develop.

The hard red route will be aimed at experienced riders.  It will include challenging obstacles,  where riders will need to have the confidence and knowledge  to position themselves effectively on the bike to get over, round and through various challenges.

The final route will be a blue route aimed at elite British Championship riders.  These children will have been riding for a number of years and be looking to challenge each other and themselves on a course that is designed to help test and develop their abilities.

The event is supported by local OSET dealer, including Colin Appleyard,  who will provide certificates for all the entrants and the Rider if the Day award. They also offer technical knowledge and ongoing support to OSET customers.

Simon Armstrong, from OSET Bikes, said: “Deepcliffe Farm is a great venue that provides a variety of different types of sections in which kids can test their skills.  With a stream to ride through, rock sections, tree roots,, hill climbs and drop-ins it’s a venue that offers great variety, making it fun to ride and often it’s a hotly contested debate over which is the ‘best’ section!

“You can simply turn up on the day and we’ll help you with everything you need.  Just remember, long sleeves, gloves, helmet and boots (wellies are fine) and don’t forget your OSET!   Bring a packed lunch too.

“We’ve had number of calls from first timers and we’re really looking forward to welcoming lots of new riders to come and join in the fun and have a go.”
