After weeks of negotiations with the ACU, we are very pleased to announce that the sidecar regulations for 2015 have now been relaxed, meaning that the ever popular Formula 2 class will now be racing at several Road Race events in 2015 including all events at Oliver’s Mount and the Southern 100.
This announcement is perfect timing for the Spring Cup event in just over 2 weeks time in Scarborough. With uncertainty prior to this ruling with the sidecar riders, now, the Spring Cup will showcase several of the world’s finest sidecar racers and a huge field of sidecars. Dave Molyneux and Conrad Harrison are amongst the many sidecar outfits that have now jumped on the entry deadline for the Spring Cup and will be racing for the first time in 2015.
With the Spring Cup now just over 2 weeks away, there are record advance ticket sales, a full entry in all classes, superstars of Road Racing confirmed and now the confirmation that the F2 sidecar class will be racing, we are all set for an amazing weekend of racing to kick off the start of Road Racing season.
There are 4 main events taking place at Oliver’s Mount Race Circuit in 2015:
