In two weeks' time, Sunday 8
th February, the outdoor race season kicks off with one of the biggest attended events on the UK Motocross calendar. The Hawkstone International is GO! The HIMX team are already busy prepping the infamous Hawkstone Park track, SY4 4NA.
The line-up is one of the biggest in years and we are sure it will be another fantastic event to get the year started in style. With the GP season getting earlier the HIMX had to schedule in one of their earliest dates in several years.
With riders getting ready for the opening round in Qatar this is the perfect way for them to start their year and the top riders from the GP scene is fantastic, led by 2014 World MX2 Champion Jordi Tixier.
Adding to him in the MX2 class will be some fantastic riders including - Tonkov - Ferrandis - Covington - Petrov - Sterry - Lenoir and top brit Ben Watson.
The MX1 class also has a fantastic line up including De Reuver - Strijbos - Simpson - Desalle - Leok - Barr - Anderson - Karro - Ferris - Law - and top GP rider Coldenhoff.
The HIMX team were forced to bring the date forward to avoid certain clashes with other races and they have been very lucky to secure some of the best riders in the world. The track is looking really good and they are hoping in 2015 they will once again be able to use the fantastic 'Hawkstone Hill' - this will be weather dependant and also if it is safe.

With the forecast in Shrewsbury looking pretty reasonable over the next few weeks the entire HIMX team are excited about putting on a great event for the fans and riders.
Tickets are only available to buy on the gate and will be £25 per adult including a free race programme and under 14's are free.
Camping will be £20 per pitch - motorhome/tent/caravan.
Parking on site is also free.
