CHANGES TO THE GRASS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR 2015 BELOW

1. Grading List.

  • Top points scorer, 250cc solo class – ACU Gold Star
  • Top points scorer, 350cc solo class – ACU Gold Star
  • Top points scorer, 500cc sidecar class – ACU Gold Star
  • Top points scorer, 1000cc L/H sidecar class – ACU Gold Star
  • Top points scorer, 500cc solo class – Jim Rendall Trophy
  • Top points scorer, 1000cc R/H sidecar class – Brian Stibbs Trophy
  • 2. British Championships

  • 250cc solo – reigning champion, reigning youth champion, up to 2 wild cards selected by the TRC, 20 qualifiers from the grading list
  • 350cc solo – reigning champion, reigning youth champion, up to 2 wild cards selected by the TRC, 20 qualifiers from the grading list.
  • 500cc sidecar – reigning champion, 11 qualifiers from the Qualification System.
  • 1000cc L/H sidecar – reigning champion, 11 qualifiers from the grading list.
  • For all classes, the winner of the Final will be the winner of the Championship
  • 3. British Clubman’s Championship. (previously Master’s Challenge)

  • 500cc solo – 24 qualifiers from the grading list.
  • 1000cc sidecar – 24 qualifiers from the grading list.
  • No provision for wild cards.
  • Winner of the final in each class is the ACU Clubman’s Champion.
  • Points scored up to the end of the Semi Finals will be used to allocate riders into the Masters Race format.
  • 4. British Masters Championship.

  • 500cc solo – Top 8 finishers from the previous year,

    Up to 4 wild cards selected by the TRC

    Up to 4 nominated riders proposed by the organising club.

    Top 8 finishers from the ACU Clubman’s Championship.

    Any wild card or nominated riders places not allocated will be filled from the

    finishing order of the Clubman’s Championship.

  • 1000cc s/c - Top 6 finishers from the previous year. Up to 2 wild cards selected by the TRC.

    Top 10 finishers from the ACU Clubman’s Championship.

    Any wild card places not allocated will be filled from the finishing order of

    the Clubman’s Championship.

  • In both classes, the winner of the Final will be the Masters Champion.
