Collins Claims Third in the FIM Flat Track World Cup
The final round of the FIM Flat Track World Cup was held in Montegorgio Italy on 27th September on the 800m banked oval track reaching speeds of 100mph.

At the start of the final meeting in the series Collins was just 2 points away from a gold medal, as the heat races got under way Aidan gave himself the best possible position to get third pick of gate position in the final on the front row.

As the final got under way he made a poor start due to a slight problem with the clutch getting into fourth gear. This left Aidan back in 10th position. By lap 4 he managed to make ground gaining 5th position, Unfortunately he lost control trying too hard and ran off the race track, This resulted in the referee excluding him from the final which then left Collins hanging in the balance to find out if he had secured a medal from the overall series which was held over 3 rounds with just the points from the final counting.

After the exclusion in the final Aidan was delighted to secure a bronze medal in the series.
