On Saturday last, Richard Hall won the Fourth Round of this
year’s World Longtrack Championship in Morizes, France. Third overall in last
year’s competition, this was his second success following his win at Marmande
last term. He lies fourth in the championship with just one round to go, in
Muhldorf Germany on 28 September.
Mathieu Tresarrieu of France was second in Morizes, and
Dutchman Theo Pijper was third. Four times winner and defending champion Eastbourne
Speedway ace Joonas Kylmakorpi only made the semi-final.
Other Brits competing were David Howe also going out in the
semi-final, and Andrew Appleton had a bad evening only taking three points.
