David Knight the winningest RHL Weston Beach Race rider in the history of the event will return this year and try to add to his phenomenal win record of 6 solo wins and 1 quad victory.
The 2014 Weston Beach Race is set to be one of the most exciting races in its 32 year history, 1500 plus riders over the weekend will line up on the start straight on October 18/19 to commence battle in one of the toughest extreme races in the world.
David Knight: “I’m looking forward to Weston again, I've missed it with date clashes the last 2 years, I'm really looking forward to it as it's a very unique race. It's one that anything can and will happen, you can just as easily have the best weekend or it can be a disaster. My only result at Weston is 1st or DNF, that speaks for itself and says how tough it is on the bikes and riders, to make the finish is an achievement the podium is a great achievement. Hopefully I can have a good race and if I can find a quad might also have a run out in that too.”
Gareth Hockey of RHL Activities: “To have Knighter back is great news, we welcome any rider with open arms, but to welcome back a multiple world Champion and a former winner of this event is fantastic, as David mentioned it is a race which can throw up any scenario and to win the race as many times as David is just amazing.
