As the youth off-road classes return to school and the long summer evenings start to fade away, the off-road world faces an interesting time of year as championship finals draw closer and the rider/team transfer season begins. It also means that it is just a little under eight weeks until the doors open for the 2014 edition of the International Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh.
Good news for fans of motocross, enduro, trials and trail is that the big players in the industry have once again committed to return to the premier UK show event, so visitors can look forward to a veritable feast of off-road production and race machinery displays from Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, GasGas, Sherco, Beta, Oset and Mecatecno.
Of course a trip to Stoneleigh isn’t complete without checking out the latest kit and accessories and on this front, top names such as O’Neal Europe, CI Sport, Apico International and Madison are all back, joining a healthy showing of tyre and oil distributors such as Dunlop, Michelin, Putoline and Rock Oil. Championship associations will be in attendance at the Show.
The retail hall is already looking busy, as are both activity halls, where visitors can watch multi-discipline action and then have a go at a host of activities. Younger riders will have the opportunity to try out the Oset and Mecatecno electric trials bikes, whilst show-goers aged 16 and over can experience riding trials bikes over obstacles under the guidance of Inch Perfect Trials.
