Peace and Yeoman claim victory at British Youth A and B Trials Championship
South Shropshire MCC hosted the ACU Luscombe Mitsubishi Leeds National Youth Class A & B Trials Championship second round at Hope Bowdler, Church Stretton on Sunday April 13 2014.

The South Shropshire club staged two championship trials on Sunday at their brand new Hope Bowdler venue. Thirty riders, in two age group classes, rode the new Gaerstone Farm trials course. Class A championship leader Dan Peace travelled from his Kirkbymoorside home after a long drive back from Italy. He won the first round of the European Under 17’s championship and won again on Sunday retaining his 100% success record. Dan now heads British and Euro Championships. Class B champion last year Porlock’s Tom Hooper piled the pressure on Dan, again, to secure second place and seventeen championship points. Telford’s Thomas Minta grabbed third place. The rest of the field were over seventy five penalties behind winner Peace.

In Class B twenty contestants battled for points. Truro youngster Toby Martyn started favourite from Stafford’s Sam Yeomans and Jack Peace. Yeoman started the day intent on scoring on home ground, and he did. Two penalties highlighted the Kelcoat Gas Gas rider’s intentions. Ripon gamekeeper’s son Sam Johnson and Truro starlet Toby Martyn headed Jack Peace and consistent Wooten Under Edge youngster Tom Culliford.

The Youth Class B and B Championship moves to Scarborough on April 27.
