Winner of the 2013 Duke Road Race Rankings,
Michael Dunlop received the
Geoff Duke Trophy at the recent TT Launch Party held at the Villa Marina in Douglas, Isle of Man.
Peter Duke, who instigated the Road Race Rankings Series in 2002, proudly handed the prestigious trophy to Michael, who is only the fourth person to have his name engraved on the unique trophy in its 12-year history.
Michael Dunlop's 2013 season 'between the hedges' took in 11 Rankings Series meetings out of a total of 23 rounds.
In these 11 meetings he achieved a total of 22 race wins and a further 12 podiums positions in the 37 races he started and set a total of nine record laps in the process!
Michael begins the defence of his Duke Road Race Rankings title at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 Road Races on 26th April, where he will debut his new BMW machines he will be riding this year.
