What’s on Around the Country?
Now that the 2011 Season is well underway in all disciplines, each week we will be highlighting one or two events around the country in each sport just to give a flavour of what activity is going on around the country.
This Sunday (13th), the Berkhamsted MC & CC club will be hosting a Trials event at Nash Mills in Kings Langley. The event is a Beginners and Wobblers meeting which will feature two different routes, the Easy and Very Easy route. The event will be starting at 10:30am and will feature riders from Youth all the way up to Adult classes and is open to any ACU Licence Holder. The postcode for the event venue is HP3 9TE. The Berkhamsted MC & CC next meeting will be on the 22nd May and will also include Blue and Red route allowing riders to upgrade from Beginners to Novice.
Also on Sunday, Broadhembury & DMC are holding an Enduro at Huntsham near to Tiverton, the event will see around 160 riders tackling the course, with the event starting at 9:30am. The event also features the Second round of the British Twinshock Enduro Championship. The British Twinshock Enduro Championship is a new championship for the 2011 season and with the title being decided upon the best six results out of the 11 rounds, there is still time to enter the Series and contest for the title. Following on from the opening round David Brick currently leads the championship ahead of Jason Fraser and Andy Elliott in third place.
On the Motocross front the Kensworth Schoolboy Motocross Club will be hosting a meeting at the Enstone Motocross Circuit. The meeting will consist of seven classes from Auto’s to Adults. The meeting on Sunday (13th) will start at 9.30am and the postcode for the venue is OX7 4NP. The track can be found on Enstone Airfield.
