The entries for the 2009 SSDT have now closed, the event starts on Monday May 4th to Saturday 9th, the pre 65 event starts on Saturday May 1st & 2nd.
If you've never ridden or spectated before and aren't quite sure whether or not you'd be up to scratch, there's also a Newcomer's Guide on there to tell you a bit more about the trial and what you can expect.
As most of you will already know the event has had major issues to contend with this year after losing the Army refuelling service that was relied on for so long. With a lot of hard graft and friends who shall remain nameless (for now!) the SSDT is definitely going ahead for 2009.
Unfortunately the organisers are funding much of the refuelling service this year, and this combined with a rise in hotel costs, catering costs and fuel prices means that the entry fee has risen considerably. However, the increase has been kept to a minimum so the entry fee for 2009 will rise to £390.
