Travel and Titles for Team AJP

Another week and another announcement from VMXdN Foxhill, with 16 weeks to go before the biggest and undisputed best vets’ motocross event in the world, we think news is going to drop thick and fast from here on in!

Class after class is stacked with heroes and legends from the golden era of MX. The ever-popular Wright Engineering Team Race provides the opportunity for teams to ride in front of a packed amphitheatre on a 20+ year old 2 strokes, around the iconic Foxhill GP circuit, Wiltshire.

With AJP pipework being owned and run by two motocross mad brothers from Herefordshire, Andy and Bob Prosser they have been on board with VMXdN Foxhill as a sponsor since its inception three years ago. However, in 2024 they have stepped up and have entered a team for the 2024 Wright Engineering Team Race which will be sure to put the cat amongst the pigeons for the podium spots.

First on the team (age before beauty as they say) is lifetime racer Andy Watkins from Brecon, who in his time has been a former top 35 rider, a two-time AMCA champion and two-time IMBA champion, so no mug to say the least. Andy will be lining up on a 1993 Honda CR 250

Second up is Jimmy Margetson, a mere youth at only 26 years old. He has been racing at British championship level for the last three years, but is also well travelled having raced in Belgium, Holland and as far afield as New Zealand for the 2017 season as well as in Africa. Margetson will be racing a 2002 KTM SX 250 built by Jack Colley. He is sure to be a threat.

Continuing in the well-travelled theme, third man up is South African Jayden Ashwell who will be linking up on a 1996 Suzuki RM 250. At only 27 years old he has already been four times African, twice South African and multiple time Zimbabwe champion, some resume indeed! He was a regular at this years Arenacross series on his usual RMZ 450, the man loves a Suzuki, he's got great taste!

VMXdN Foxhill powered by John Banks is held for four days over the August bank holiday weekend - the 22nd -25th 2024. The four-day family MX festival celebrates everything that is great and good in the vets and evo two-stroke motocross world with not only the world’s best riders on track battling for their country's honours on 20+ year old factory level bikes, as well as legends of the sport on site to hang out, catch a selfie or grab a cold beer with.

There is as much entertainment off the track as well with the Foxhill Show’N’Shine bike show, nightly evening shows with live podcasts with the Torq Moto guys Jeffro and Wobs in conjunction with Pulp MX 's Steve Matthes, rider interviews and DJ to give the crowds something to dance to into the night.

With more legends and attractions being announced almost daily it is most certainly one not to be missed- and if you book the weekend pass it's all for £16 a day for an adult it seems almost too good to be true!

Don’t miss out on the chance to secure your spot because tickets are selling faster than ever before. Grab your tickets now before they are all gone!
